Michelle is a Food Scientist, and innovation project management specialist, with over 18 years experience leading NPD and R&D projects within the Food and Beverage industry.

Michelle’s experience, which covers frozen, chilled and ambient products, started in NPD with companies like Unilever. Michelle evolved into a strategic innovator with world class skills in translating consumer insights into great prototypes, and outstanding skill in building fundamental technology process understanding upon which strategic IP can easily be built. She used these skills, combining science with food creativity to great effect while working with PepsiCo, which is where she first met and started working with Dave Roberts in 2005.

Michelle is one of a very rare breed of R&D managers, with a strong aptitude for IP strategy. Particularly in the food arena, she can quickly analyse a new innovation and both see the bigger, broader idea, and give practical technology & experimental advice upon which excellent IP strategies can be built.
